The Story

Let me start by introducing myself…

My name is Amanda. I reside with my family in Tennessee, I am passionate about following Jesus Christ and filling myself with His Word, I am a stay-at-home mom to two miracle children, worship leader, writer, homemaker and creative-at-heart.

I started a personal blog in 2008 that served a purpose through that season of life, but over time blogging became a burden that had depleted me of joy. In November of 2015 I finally called it quits and got rid of my blog. The night I pushed the delete button on my site was one of the most freeing moments I have experienced, I felt a literal weight lift off of me and knew I had made the right choice. My time in the blogging world was done, or so I thought…

In March of 2016 I began feeling the Lord prompt me to start blogging again, but given my history, I pushed the feeling aside.

Enter the beautiful afternoon on March 28, 2016 when the Lord dropped a vision in my spirit and I knew from that very moment I was getting ready to embark on an amazing journey with Him.

I had just finished-up reading the Word and praying when I felt a need to quiet myself before the Lord and just listen. What followed was a Holy declaration and a call to build a place that would bring glory to Him. He said, “I am the Lord your God, no one comes before Me. I am the Lord your God, no one comes before Me. I am the Lord your God, no one comes before Me. I am the Lord your God, no one goes before Me. I am the Lord your God, no one goes before Me. I am the Lord your God, no one goes before Me. I am the Lord your God, no one comes after Me.” He had my complete attention and the only words I could utter were, “God, You are so worthy. You are so worthy.”

He then showed me a picture of a white brick wall with the title, “the white wall.” on it and dropped in my spirit Philippians 2:14-15 “Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in  the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world…”

The Lord then gave me clarity regarding the name. White is the color of purity; when you have a white wall in your house, you notice the second it gets stained or smudged. When you see the blemish it is repulsive and you immediately clean it off so it remains spotless and pure white. We are to be like white walls, better yet, we are white walls.

He then told me that this blog was to be a place where the testimonies of the saints rise-up and are declared for all to see and hear. It was to become a place for Christ to be glorified and His children encouraged. You will notice that there are no social media outlets and commenting has been disabled… I knew the Lord was impressing on me that this space was to be free from distractions, free from corruption, free from the spirit of the age… This place was only to be filled by the Spirit of the living God.

I was then given Revelation 12:11 “And they overcame him [satan] by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.”

After hearing the things He spoke, I wrote it all down and knew it was time to get to work. I knew that I was merely to facilitate this but by no means was this “my blog”. You will notice that throughout the site I will use the word “we” because as I said, this is not just a “me” thing. This is a collaboration with the Lord and with His people… I share the vision, I create the platform and watch as He changes lives, one testimony at a time.

Please pray and ask the Lord if He would have you be apart. I truly believe that we are all used by God and ask that you would not overly qualify or disqualify yourself. Whether you are a stay-at-home parent, college student, doctor, business person, full-time worship leader, or minister to thousands on a daily basis, God will use any willing vessel to bring glory to His name regardless of their “title”!

Be blessed, go in peace and I pray that “The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace” (Numbers 6:24-26).
